Simple. Delicious. That's how I describe these amazing chocolate chip cookies! I've been craving some sugar loaded comfort food and decided to bake up a batch of these famous cookies from Tate's Bake Shop. These are my favorite chocolate chip cookies! Thin, melt-in-your-mouth, goodness!
Tate's Chocolate Chip Cookies
YIELD: about 40 small cookies
2 cups unbleached, all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup (2 sticks) salted butter, at room temperature
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 teaspoon water
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
In a medium bowl, whisk the flour, soda and salt together. In another large bowl, mix the butter to lighten it a bit, then mix in the sugars. Add the water, vanilla and eggs to the butter mixture. Then add the flour mixture just until combined. Stir in the chocolate chips. Using a small scoop or teaspoon, drop the cookies 2" apart on a parchment lined sheet. Bake for 12 minutes. Remove and cool on wire rack.
